zaha hadid

sdi has been selected as structural engineer of record for the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, to be constructed on the Michigan State University campus, and designed by Pritzker Award winning architect Zaha Hadid of London, England. sdi joins a team including the Troy, Michigan based architectural firm Integrated Design Solutions, as well as consultants from London and New York. When completed in 2012, the forty million dollar project will house a world-class art collection, and will be Hadid’s second building constructed in the United States.  This is sdi’s second collaboration with a Pritzker award winner, having served as structural engineer of record for Rafael Moneo’s Cranbrook Academy Studio Wing.  It too was just the second work by the Pritzker recipient to be constructed in the US.
